Toothless aka Princess was a very needy mother-to-be from 7am today till 4pm. I could not leave her side as she would follow me even through a contraction. She needed alot of reassuring and talking to and petting.
Once babies were all born she had to be taught to lay down for them to nurse. She would move away from them when they came to her so I helped her lay down and took each baby to her belly. Soon she was comfortable with all their meowing and suckling.
I luv the sound of baby kittens meowing. Today she is doing great and so are all babies. Noises are a big distraction so I have to keep my door closed so she won't get up and go after each noise because then the nursing of the babies gets interrupted.
First baby is white and born at 10:35
Second is black, born at 11:37
Third baby is white and born at 12:37
and the last baby was born at 1:17 and it is tabby - like the daddy from next door.
